MADISON, Wis.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Navitus Health Solutions, an industry-disrupting pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) that’s committed to bringing humanity to pharmacy benefits management through greater transparency and affordability, announced today that Shayna Schulz has joined the company as Chief Operations Officer. Shayna is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to the eligibility, claims administration and customer care operations to ensure Navitus continues to reach the highest operational efficiency and service delivery standards.
“We are delighted to welcome Shayna to Navitus as she has done such meaningful work throughout her career to help transform the customer experience into one that is proactive, personalized and meaningful,” said David Fields, President and CEO of Navitus. “With nearly two decades of insurance and health plan experience with responsibilities including customer service, corporate communications, operations and enterprise transformation, Shayna will be an asset to our customers, their members and our team.”
Shayna most recently served as Chief Operating Officer for Included Health. Prior to that, she held several positions at Blue Shield of California, including serving as Senior Vice President, Transformation and Operations, leading a team of over 2,000 people. In that role, she was responsible for operational strategy and member experience, including enrollment, benefits, claims, provider operations, appeals and grievances and customer contact centers. She also oversaw the teams focused on employee enablement, ensuring they were resourced and equipped with appropriate training, tools and coaching support.
Before joining Blue Shield of California, Shayna served as vice president of Customer Service at Allstate, where she led the company’s 2,000-person customer contact center organization supporting the needs of Allstate customers across the company’s property, casualty, life and retirement lines of business. Shayna holds a Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude in English Literature and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Boston University, and a Master of Business Administration from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
“Navitus’ commitment to helping more human beings, with a focus on delivering exceptional member experiences that are nurturing, impactful, and results-oriented is what really drew me to this position,” said Shayna Schulz. “I look forward to making Navitus’ member experience as engaging as possible while upholding our commitment to lowering prescription drug costs and improving health outcomes.”
